Red

(a idea)

Longer, more voluminous than the Amazon,
      the Nile, the Yangtze;
more fertile than the Euphrates, the Sava, the Volga;
more sacred than the Ganges, the Indus, the Jordan;
more beautiful than the Danube, the Rhine, the Seine;
flows the river
from the delta
of a woman’s thighs.

Your poem here is so wonderful, if only it were true. We need to demand respect.

It is so good to read a piece about what emanates from a "woman's thighs" that is not demeaning and crude. The power and sensuous nature of the river fits us well. Thanks for sharing with us.
