This is not poetry,
nor is it meant to be –
but what is poetry anyway?

Is it the breath of your feelings,
the song of your thoughts;

or is it the realization of what
should have, and was meant to,
remain abstract?

This is not poetry –
it was never meant to be;
this is a recording of thoughts
as they come to me.
