This is not ‘poetry’

It’s really difficult to write in i-
ambic pentameters; sonnets are diff-
icult too. In fact, all forms (prescribed by
the Past Masters) are tough. Why had they give-
n themselves the headache of rhyme schemes, met-
ers, and structures? Most revered master po-
ets, you have pulled off a most spiteful feat -
screwing over would-be poets! Some go
mad trying to write in such rigid struc-
tures while the ones who would not give a fuck
about your ‘rules’ and write in free verse are
scorned and snubbed. To hell with your little club!
Who cares about poetry? I would ra-
ther read the insipid Harper’s Bazaar.
