Lost and Found

Yesterday I’d
Lost and I’d thought
Of you

I’d thought about the time I’d
Lost and you’d found and
I wished you’d been there
To find what I’d lost

That one time when I’d lost a
Star my beautiful silver-
Wrought star that hung from a
Delicate silver chain
I don’t know how I’d not
Missed it the weight of it
Around my neck and I don’t
Know how you’d caught it

I’d panicked I’d searched
Frantically and vainly
I’d almost cried
My beautiful silver-
Wrought star had fallen

But magically wondrously
Before my eyes your hand
Closed opened
Enclosed within a fallen star
My star

You’d caught my fallen star
Falling off me
You’d found my lost star

Yesterday I’d
Lost again this time my
Charm a trinket my talisman
Having fallen off me

I’d panicked I’d searched
Frantically and vainly
I’d almost cried
My sweetly scented
Rosewood idol had fallen

But really disappointingly
You weren’t there to find
What I’d lost this time

Yesterday I’d
Lost and I’d thought
Of You who I once found
By whom I was once found

Yesterday I’d found what I’d lost
What I’d lost that you’d not found
What I’d found was that I’d lost
That what I’d lost was You

Have you seen the Moon

Have you seen the Moon
in its haloed hallowed Hollow
in the cotton-bed Nightsky
yellowy-glowy-bright
symmetrically round
in its hallowed Halo
in the waterbed Nightsky
The more beauty to You!
Invoking the Huntress
the Wise and the Woman
have me mesmerized
make me wish i were
dancing in rituals
whispering secret spells
silent in my wonder
cat’s-got-my-tongue in awe
mesmerizing and enchanting
beckoning me
make me wish i were
a pagan baby
celebrating Your
Beauty clad in Your
Light clothed in Your
Glow cradled in Your
Skybed in Your hallowed haloed
Hollow.
